Software Engineer, Frontend

Role overview

Fluidstack is hiring a Frontend Engineer to own the customer- and operator-facing surfaces of the product. You’ll be the primary engineer across two high-visibility areas: the public marketing website and internal tooling used for operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate the homepage: drive architectural decisions for performance and UX quality.
• Build internal UIs: design and ship React interfaces for operational dashboards, data center management views, and procurement workflows.
• Create and maintain a component system:
  • Build shared React component libraries using Mantine and/or Tailwind.
  • Document components in Storybook and uphold strong visual and accessibility standards.
• Use AI-assisted workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) to accelerate development while maintaining quality.
• Prototype and ship interactive experiences using Framer (motion, transitions, marketing-forward interactions) and choose lower-level primitives when needed.
• Own CMS/no-code integrations (e.g., Webflow or equivalent) and decide when no-code is the right abstraction.
• Drive frontend engineering quality:
  • Write clean TypeScript with strong type safety.
  • Contribute to CI/CD, set standards for component architecture, state management, and performance profiling.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, engineering leadership, and GTM stakeholders.
• Turn ambiguous requests into well-scoped implementations without detailed specs.

Requirements (Basic Qualifications)

• 3+ years of professional frontend engineering shipping production React applications.
• Strong TypeScript experience and hands-on production use of Mantine, Tailwind CSS, or similar frameworks.
• Experience building and maintaining a component library documented in Storybook.
• Shipped a public-facing marketing site with a high design bar and measurable performance requirements.
• Proficiency with modern React patterns: hooks, context, server components, and state management (e.g., Zustand, Jotai).
• Experience with PWAs, React Native, or other mobile frameworks.
• Comfortable with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and rigorous PR review.

• Proficiency using AI coding tools confidently.
• Ability to apply Framer for interactive experiences.
• Experience with Webflow-style marketing CMS workflows.
• Strong performance profiling and standards-driven component/state architecture.
