Role overview

As a Software Engineer (Frontend) at Clipboard, you’ll build and maintain scalable, performant product features that directly impact healthcare staffing for patients, nurses, and facilities.

This is an evergreen role with ongoing hiring as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Own your code and contribute to the full software development lifecycle (problem definition → design → development → testing → demos → production support).
• Build and maintain features primarily with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Deploy your work using trunk-based development, short-lived feature branches, and automated regression testing.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Customers, using real-world healthcare feedback to ensure solutions meet user needs.
• Participate in a remote-first culture with strong async communication and alignment to daily overlap.
• Join on-call rotations (typically one week per month) to help deliver reliable services.

Requirements

• Professional software engineering experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.js, and NestJS (specific language background not required).
• Familiarity with AWS deployment processes (specifically ECS and Terraform) or willingness to learn.
• Strong ownership mindset: proactive improvement of the codebase and ability to deliver with minimal guidance.

Nice-to-haves

• Comfort learning through feedback and experimenting with new approaches.
• Evidence of producing scalable, maintainable code that passes reviews and testing with minimal rework.
