Software Engineer - Frontend

Role Overview

Software Engineer – Frontend (Contract) Fully remote and asynchronous. Rolling start as projects launch.

What You’ll Do

• Review and evaluate AI-generated frontend code for correctness, efficiency, accessibility, and clarity (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
• Implement high-quality frontend solutions across UI and web development problems of varying difficulty.
• Explain design decisions, code logic, and problem-solving strategies clearly and in a user-friendly way.
• Identify and flag edge cases or ambiguities in problem statements or AI responses.

Requirements

• Fluent English and strong written communication skills; able to clearly explain frontend concepts.
• Deep JavaScript expertise, including:
  • async/await
  • closures
  • DOM manipulation
  • ES6+ syntax
  • browser APIs
• 3–5 years of experience with modern frontend frameworks/tools/domains (e.g., React, Vue, Angular; web development).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or pursuing one).

Nice to Have

• Master’s/PhD preferred (not required).
• Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training projects.

Role Details

• Engagement: hourly, at-will contractor
• Schedule: fully remote & asynchronous, min. 15 hrs/week

Interview Process

• Screening with Zara (English AI interviewer)
• Domain-specific Zara interview to assess frontend expertise, including:
  • frontend frameworks
  • state management
  • performance optimization
