Software Engineer - Frontend

Role Overview

Software Engineer – Frontend (AI Training Contract) You’ll help evaluate and improve AI systems that generate code. The work focuses on reviewing AI-written frontend UI solutions, building high-quality implementations, and providing expert feedback so next-generation AI coding tools become more reliable.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated frontend code (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) for:
  • correctness, efficiency, accessibility, and clarity
• Write high-quality frontend solutions for UI and web development problems of varying difficulty
• Explain design decisions and code logic clearly in writing, including problem-solving strategies
• Identify edge cases, bugs, and ambiguities in prompts or AI-generated responses
• Help set quality standards for what “great” frontend code looks like (at scale)

Requirements

• Strong command of JavaScript (async/await, closures, DOM manipulation, ES6+ syntax, browser APIs)
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks/tooling (React, Vue, Angular, or similar)
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing
• Detail-oriented, consistent, and focused on correctness and quality
• Self-motivated; comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment

Nice to Have

• 3–5+ years of professional frontend development experience
• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or related)
• Familiarity with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training workflows
• Experience with web accessibility standards and performance optimization

Logistics

• Fully remote, asynchronous contract work
• No meetings required
• Flexible commitment with a minimum of 15 hours/week
• Work schedule can be set by you
