Software Engineer - Frontend

Role overview

Software Engineer – Frontend (AI Training Contract) As a frontend developer for AI training, you’ll help improve AI models’ ability to understand and generate high-quality frontend code. This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract engagement where you work on UI coding problems and solutions.

What you’ll do

• Review and evaluate AI-generated frontend code for:
  • correctness, efficiency
  • accessibility and best practices
• Write high-quality frontend solutions for UI and web development challenges across varying difficulty levels
• Explain design decisions, code logic, and approaches clearly and logically
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and errors in both prompt statements and AI responses
• Help define what “great” frontend code looks like for both humans and AI

Who you are

• Fluent English with strong written communication skills
• Deep expertise in JavaScript, including:
  • async/await, closures
  • DOM manipulation, ES6+ syntax
  • browser APIs
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks/tools such as React, Vue, or Angular
• 3+ years hands-on frontend or web development experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Computer Science or related field; Master’s/PhD is a plus
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently

Nice to have

• Accessibility standards knowledge (WCAG) and performance optimization
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Pinia)
• Background in data labeling, RLHF, or AI model training projects
