About the role

Role Overview

Software Engineer – Frontend (AI Training Contract) Help train the next generation of AI by evaluating and writing high-quality frontend coding problems and solutions. This is a fully remote, flexible contract where you work asynchronously on your own schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate AI-generated frontend code for:
    • correctness
    • efficiency
    • accessibility
    • best practices
  • Write frontend solutions to UI and web development challenges across multiple difficulty levels
  • Produce clear, well-reasoned explanations for:
    • design decisions
    • code logic
    • problem-solving approaches
  • Identify edge cases, ambiguities, or errors in problem statements and AI-generated responses
  • Help establish standards for great frontend code for both humans and AI

Requirements

  • Fluent English and strong written communication skills
  • Deep expertise in JavaScript, including:
    • async/await
    • closures
    • DOM manipulation
    • ES6+ syntax
    • browser APIs
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks/tools: React, Vue, or Angular
  • 3+ years of hands-on frontend or web development experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in CS or related field (Master’s/PhD is a plus)
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working independently without close supervision

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance optimization
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Pinia)
  • Prior work related to data labeling, RLHF, or AI model training
