About the role
Role: Software Engineer — Frontend (Contract)
Engagement: Hourly, at-will contractor
Schedule: Fully remote & asynchronous (min. 15 hrs/week)
Start: Rolling (staffed as projects launch)
Pay (US): $25–$100/hour
What you’ll do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated frontend code (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) for:
- correctness
- efficiency
- accessibility
- clarity
- Write high-quality frontend solutions for UI/web development problems across varying difficulty levels.
- Explain your decisions clearly, including:
- design decisions
- code logic
- problem-solving approaches
- Identify and flag edge cases or ambiguities in problem statements or AI responses.
Requirements
- Fluent English with strong written communication skills
- Ability to clearly explain frontend coding concepts
- JavaScript expertise, including:
- async/await
- closures
- DOM manipulation
- ES6+ syntax
- browser APIs
- 3–5 years experience with modern frontend frameworks/tools/domains (e.g., React, Vue, Angular, or web development)
- Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in Computer Science or related field
Nice to have
- Master’s or PhD (preferred)
- Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training projects
Interview process
- English screening with Zara (AI interviewer)
- Domain-specific interview/assessment focused on:
- frontend frameworks
- state management
- performance optimization
