Software Engineer - Frontend

Role Overview

Software Engineer - Frontend (Contract) on a fully remote, asynchronous schedule (min. 15 hrs/week). The work focuses on reviewing and writing frontend solutions to help power AI training and model improvements.

What You’ll Do

• Review and evaluate AI-generated frontend code for:
  • correctness, efficiency, accessibility, and clarity
  • JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Write high-quality frontend solutions for UI and web development problems across varying difficulty levels
• Explain design decisions and code logic clearly and in user-friendly ways
• Identify and flag edge cases or ambiguities in problem statements or AI responses

Requirements

• Fluent English with strong written communication skills
• Ability to clearly explain frontend coding concepts
• Deep JavaScript expertise, including:
  • async/await, closures
  • DOM manipulation
  • ES6+ syntax and browser APIs
• 3–5 years of experience with modern frontend frameworks/tools/domains (e.g., React, Vue, Angular, web development)
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field (or pursuing one)

Nice to Have

• Master’s/PhD (preferred, not required)
• Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training projects

Interview Process

• English screening with Zara (AI interviewer)
• Domain-specific interview/assessment covering frontend frameworks, state management, and performance optimization

Contract & Work Details

• Engagement: hourly, at-will contractor
• Schedule: fully remote & asynchronous
• Start date: rolling (as projects launch)
