Software Engineer - Frontend

Role Overview

Software Engineer – Frontend (Contract) (Remote) Shape the data that powers frontier AI by reviewing and writing frontend code for UI/web development tasks.

What You’ll Do

• Review and evaluate AI-generated frontend code (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) for:
  • correctness
  • efficiency
  • accessibility
  • clarity
• Write high-quality frontend solutions for UI and web development problems across varying difficulty levels.
• Explain your decisions clearly, including:
  • design decisions
  • code logic
  • problem-solving strategies
• Identify and flag edge cases or ambiguities in problem statements or AI responses.

Requirements

• Fluent English with strong written communication and the ability to explain frontend concepts clearly.
• Expertise in JavaScript, including:
  • async/await
  • closures
  • DOM manipulation
  • ES6+ syntax
  • browser APIs
• 3–5 years of experience with modern frontend frameworks, tools, or web development domains (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) — plus.
• Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred / Bonus

• Master’s or PhD preferred (not required).
• Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training projects.

Contract & Work Details

• Fully remote and asynchronous (minimum 15 hrs/week).
• Hourly, at-will contractor.
• Rolling start dates, staffed as projects launch.
• Growth potential via high performers leading new programs and mentoring SMEs.

Interview Process

• Screening with Zara (AI interviewer) in English.
• Domain-specific Zara interview assessing frontend expertise, including:
  • frontend frameworks
  • state management
  • performance optimization.
