Role Overview

Software Engineer – Frontend (Contract)

• Engagement: Hourly, at-will contractor
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous (min. 15 hrs/week)
• Start: Rolling (as projects launch)

What You’ll Do

• Review and evaluate AI-generated frontend code for:
  • correctness, efficiency
  • accessibility
  • clarity
• Write high-quality frontend solutions for UI and web development problems across varying difficulty levels.
• Explain design decisions and code logic clearly, including problem-solving strategies.
• Identify and flag edge cases or ambiguities in problem statements or AI responses.

Requirements

• Fluent English and strong written communication skills.
• Ability to clearly explain frontend coding concepts.
• JavaScript expertise, including:
  • async/await
  • closures
  • DOM manipulation
  • ES6+ syntax
  • browser APIs
• 3–5 years of experience with modern frontend frameworks/tools/domains (e.g., React, Vue, Angular, web development) (plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or pursuing one).

Nice to Haves / Bonus

• Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training projects.
• Master’s or PhD preferred (not required).

Interview Process

• English screening with Zara (AI interviewer).
• Domain-specific interview assessing frontend expertise, including:
  • frontend frameworks
  • state management
  • performance optimization.

Remote / Work Style

• Work from anywhere with autonomy and flexible workload.
• Work is asynchronous, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours/week.
