Software Engineer - Frontend

Role Overview

Contract Frontend Software Engineer (fully remote, asynchronous). You will review and create frontend solutions (UI/web code) that support AI-generated code evaluation and development across varying difficulty levels.

What You’ll Do

• Review and evaluate AI-generated frontend code for correctness, efficiency, accessibility, and clarity
• Write high-quality frontend solutions to UI and web development problems
• Produce clear, user-friendly explanations for design decisions, code logic, and problem-solving strategies
• Identify and flag edge cases or ambiguities in problem statements or AI responses

Requirements

• Fluent English and strong written communication skills
• Ability to clearly explain frontend coding concepts
• Strong JavaScript expertise, including:
  • async/await, closures
  • DOM manipulation
  • ES6+ syntax
  • Browser APIs
• 3–5 years of experience with modern frontend frameworks, tools, or web development domains (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or pursuing)

Nice to Have

• Master’s or PhD preferred
• Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training projects

About the Engagement

• Fully remote & asynchronous (minimum 15 hrs/week)
• Hourly, at-will contractor
• Rolling start date; staffed as projects launch
• Pay range (US): $25–$100/hour

Interview Process

• English screening with Zara (AI interviewer)
• Domain-specific Zara interview to assess frontend expertise (frameworks, state management, performance optimization)
