Software Engineer / Developer

Role overview

You’ll be a versatile Software Engineer / Developer working with a partner company’s product and platform engineering teams. The role is designed for engineers who enjoy building high-performance, AI-powered products and scalable technology solutions, contributing across frontend, backend, full-stack, data, and platform as your expertise fits.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver production-quality software across frontend, backend, full-stack, data, and platform domains
• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-based solutions
• Create data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows, including high-volume event-driven architectures
• Develop high-performance user interfaces with modern frontend frameworks
• Integrate AI capabilities into applications to create intelligent, user-focused experiences
• Design and maintain systems that can process large volumes of data
• Own projects end-to-end (technical design → implementation → deployment → continuous improvement)
• Optimize for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Build internal platforms, developer tools, and reusable components to improve productivity
• Collaborate with product and design to translate customer needs into technical solutions
• Implement monitoring, analytics, and experimentation to continuously improve products

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience delivering production-level software
• Strong programming skills in one or more: Python, Go, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable, maintainable systems
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills
• Ability to balance fast delivery with long-term technical quality
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in distributed teams
• High ownership mentality and comfort in fast-paced environments

Preferred / bonus

• Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, responsive design, accessibility practices
• Backend: APIs, distributed systems, event-driven architectures
• Data engineering: pipelines, ETL/ELT, schema design, large-scale data modeling
• Databases/data technologies: PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, ClickHouse (or similar)
• Bonus: AI/ML, statistical modeling, real-time data environments, or startup experience
