Role overview

Join Pantheon as a Software Engineer II on the Data Platform team. You will build scalable, reliable data systems, partner with internal teams to deliver high-impact data solutions, and help shape the technical strategy and operations of Pantheon’s data platform.

Key missions

Build scalable and reliable data systems while maintaining service levels for critical enterprise pipelines.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-impact data solutions and support self-service data tooling.
Contribute to the data platform’s technical strategy and operations, implementing best practices for data architecture.

Responsibilities

Develop maintainable components and production features as part of the data platform.
Work with modern data stack tools to power analytics and downstream use cases.
Help improve architecture and operational practices for critical data pipelines.

Requirements

Coding proficiency: build maintainable components in Python and/or Go.
Data stack experience (examples): Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Looker.
Database & warehouse knowledge: SQL with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
Cloud & infrastructure: containerization (e.g., Docker/OCI), Terraform, and Kubernetes (K8s).
Experience: 3–5+ years building production services/features (ideally with Data Engineering expertise).

Nice to have

Experience building data pipelines for AI and Machine Learning.
