About the role

Role Overview

The Software Engineer designs and develops software applications and reusable components for Cotiviti’s healthcare analytics product suite. You’ll collaborate with Senior Developers, QA, Product Owners, Project/Program Management, and other stakeholders to deliver maintainable, high-quality backend software.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-quality, maintainable software modules/components.
Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure correctness and reliability.
Analyze requirements/specifications and produce detailed technical designs.
Leverage AI-enabled tools and coding assistants to improve productivity and quality.
Continuously update professional knowledge of new technologies.
Deliver work aligned with annual goals/performance review and other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/IS or related field, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of software development experience (preferably in an enterprise environment).
Strong Java and SQL skills.
Experience developing back-end systems with heavy emphasis on data processing.
Proficient working with AI-enabled tools / coding assistants.
Good communication (written and verbal) and strong analytical/organizational skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with healthcare and pharmacy information systems/data.

Remote Requirements

Remote role requiring a dedicated, secure work area and reliable high-speed internet.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $91,000–$129,000 per year (final offer depends on experience/skills/education).
Benefits include medical/dental/vision, disability and life insurance, 401(k), paid family leave, paid holidays, and PTO.
