About the role

Role overview

You’ll join CodeSignal as a Software Engineer on a small, high-impact team building practice-first learning experiences for developers worldwide. This is an individual contributor role where you’ll own meaningful features, work closely with Product and Design, and help explore new technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and iterate on high-quality developer learning experiences
Review code and uphold engineering standards
Contribute to architectural decisions
Collaborate with Product and Design to shape what gets built and how it’s delivered to users

Requirements

Demonstrated ownership, drive, and initiative delivering high-quality work
Strong written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work full-time and collaborate with a team operating on US Pacific time (candidates in or near Pacific time preferred)
2+ years of professional full-time software engineering experience (web or mobile preferred)

Nice-to-haves

Background in EdTech, HR Tech, or other learning/assessment products
Prior experience at a tech startup or scale-up
Experience with parts of the stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL
Familiarity with React Native / mobile development (relevant for the Cosmo mobile app)
