Join Character.ai as a Core Product Engineer (frontend-focused). You’ll help shape the future of the team’s front-end development by building performant, polished, user-friendly interfaces and partnering closely with design to establish reusable design foundations.

Key missions

Contribute significantly to front-end development by building high-performance, attractive user interfaces.
Collaborate with design to translate product/UX concepts into tangible user experiences.
Create, evolve, and maintain design system foundations, systems, and models to ensure consistency and quality.

Requirements

Experience as a Front-End or Full-Stack Software Engineer with a strong focus on UX and design systems.
Proven ability to build features and experiences for consumer products.
Strong performance in a fast-paced, agile environment with timely delivery.
Deep understanding of TypeScript, React, React Native, Tailwind, HTML, and modern front-end best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering, product, design, and data.
High attention to detail and strong craft/polish mindset.
