Role Overview

Software Engineer at BlueMatrix building and maintaining client-facing components within a system of a retreating monolith and an expanding set of micro-services. You’ll work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering reliable, high-performance services and continuously rolling out market-validated features.

Responsibilities

Scale the system to meet increasing global demand
Meet regulatory compliance requirements for new regional markets
Productionalize and roll out new market-validated features

Requirements

3–6 years of experience on a development team
Proficient in Java, comfortable adopting new technologies
Experience delivering reliable, high-performance REST APIs
Strong interest in database & query performance tuning
Experience with Snowflake
Good understanding of Scrum/Agile development
Experience with code reviews, service ownership, fully automated testing, micro-services, and rapid/continuous releases
Experience with AWS (or equivalent)
Comfortable with on-call support and direct client interaction if needed
Ability to mentor junior developers
Quick learner with humility; proactive, transparent, accountable, and communicative
