Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure and reliable backend systems at high scale.
- Develop identity synchronization and lifecycle management using SCIM and related standards.
- Implement and operate services including participation in scheduled on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale projects with dependencies.
- Build enterprise services using TypeScript, REST APIs, and JSON.
- Work with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Kubernetes, etc.) to deliver scalable, high-availability applications.
Requirements
- Proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js.
- Strong security architecture knowledge, including LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, SSO, OAuth2, OpenID Connect and web protocols (XML, SOAP, JSON, REST).
- Familiarity with access control models: RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC.
- Experience with SQL.
- Practical experience developing and improving Node.js applications.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to haves / additional signals
- Experience working with cloud-native databases (SQL and NoSQL) and AWS.
Location / work setup
- SF, NY, London, Berlin commuting-distance candidates have in-office anchor days Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
- Candidates beyond that distance are fully remote.
