Software Engineer

Role Overview

Software Engineer (earliest engineering hire) for Sweeps Sweeps. You will work closely with the founders on the core mobile experience that users open and “rip” every day, in a small, high-ownership remote team.

Responsibilities

• Build the core ripping experience: flows, animations, and the feel of opening a pack and seeing the pull.
• Implement funding and instant sell-back: seamless money-in and money-out moments.
• Develop key user screens: collection, pull history, pack selection, and onboarding.
• Ensure real-time pricing so each card shows accurate, up-to-the-moment value.
• Maintain speed and reliability so rips never lag and values don’t appear wrong.
• Ship fast iterations on new pack types, mechanics, and features.

Requirements

• Shipped real, polished consumer apps end to end.
• Strong product and UX sensibility (care about how interactions feel).
• Ability to own features from idea to shipped while moving fast.
• Strong fundamentals in APIs, state management, and responsive real-time interfaces.
• High bias toward action and comfort in an early-stage environment.

Nice to Have

• Mobile experience with React Native, Swift, or Kotlin.
• Experience with payments or money-movement systems.
• Interest in trading cards, collectibles, or pack-ripping communities.
