Software Engineer, Android

Role Overview

Suno is seeking an Android Software Engineer to join its growing mobile team. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to build and improve the Suno Android app for creating, exploring, and listening to music.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build the Android app for music creation, exploration, and listening
• Create foundational abstractions and libraries for performant, highly interactive media experiences
• Own feature development from initial implementation (“zero to one”) through iteration and expansion
• Influence design and product decisions across the app
• Optimize performance and user experience (speed, “joy,” and overall product feel)

What You’ll Need

• 3+ years of experience developing Android applications
• Strong Kotlin skills and solid Android fundamentals
• Experience with modern Android development frameworks and best practices
• Ability to build responsive, interactive user interfaces
• Understanding of Android design patterns and best practices
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with ExoPlayer or Media3
• Background in audio or media applications
• Knowledge of REST APIs and networking
• Familiarity with Material Design
• Personal passion for music (listening, exploring, making)

Compensation

• $130K – $180K annual salary + target equity + benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k)
