About the role
Role Overview
Join Fiddle’s small founding team in San Francisco as a Software Engineer, owning frontend architecture. You’ll build creative-tool UX where the interface is the product, combining high-performance canvas virtualization with component systems tied directly to production code.
Responsibilities
- Architect the core product interface and implement complex virtualization for an infinite canvas with seamless scaling and high-performance rendering.
- Build component systems that pull production code into the editor so designers and engineers can collaborate in one environment.
- Develop branching and version control capabilities to support rapid prototyping and safe shipping straight to production.
Requirements
- Expert frontend craft with deep knowledge of React, Vite, and Tailwind.
- Proven experience building complex, performant, interactive UIs.
- Product-first mindset and “founding energy,” ideally with startup or founding experience.
- Track record of shipping high-quality creative or technical tools.
- Values intense debate and feedback to improve the product.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in early-stage, high-growth startups.
- Prior founding experience or similar ownership-level impact.
