Software Development Team Lead (Message Squad)

Role Overview

You will lead the Software Development Team Lead for Diabolocom’s Message Squad, driving technical direction and ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. The role combines hands-on backend development with team leadership and architectural guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, supporting their growth and performance.
• Drive engineering planning: quarterly planning, releases, and sprint execution.
• Contribute to backend development (primarily in Go).
• Design and guide scalable distributed systems and architectural decisions.
• Maintain and improve a strong engineering culture within the team.

Requirements

• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Strong backend engineering skills, with practical experience designing distributed, scalable systems.
• Experience with Golang (primary backend language).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience owning or guiding architecture and engineering processes (releases/sprints) for a production platform.
