Role Overview

Join FIGS as a Software Development Manager to lead the e-commerce engineering team supporting the direct-to-consumer website. You’ll drive business outcomes through operational excellence, optimization, and strategic project investment planning, while ensuring applications and tools continuously improve.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and direct activities related to development and management of the direct-to-consumer website.
Lead and manage the engineering team responsible for Upper Funnel and Personalization on the consumer-facing e-commerce site.
Build an environment focused on operational excellence, ongoing optimization, and strategic project investment planning.
Provide technical expertise and support to ensure applications and tools are functional, effective, and continuously improving.

Requirements

2+ years of engineering management experience and prior progression as a software engineer using backend technologies.
7+ years of software engineering experience.
Expertise in Java and AWS.
Strong written and verbal communication, able to translate between technical and user-friendly language.
Ability to partner with business stakeholders to develop requirements, plans, test strategies, and implementation plans.
Experience leading teams executing complex product and technical roadmaps.
