About the role

Role Overview

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) helping ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of modern SaaS applications in a fast-paced healthcare technology environment. You will design and execute automated and manual testing strategies across web applications, APIs, and performance systems, and continuously improve testing and CI/CD quality practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and QA stakeholders to define comprehensive testing strategies based on product requirements.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases for SaaS-based web applications and APIs.
  • Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks using modern JavaScript-based testing tools.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; partner with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Build and execute automated API tests to validate functionality, reliability, and system integrations.
  • Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure scalability, stability, and responsiveness.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and faster release cycles.
  • Monitor testing quality standards and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Stay current with emerging testing frameworks and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and quality engineering with strong test automation focus for SaaS applications.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing tools/frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or CodeceptJS.
  • API testing experience with tools/frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, or Katalon.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD environments.
  • Strong automated testing principles, debugging, and quality processes.
  • Experience with performance/load/stress testing in scalable application environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated and effective in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Nice to Have

  • Healthcare technology or healthcare domain experience.
