About the role

Role Overview

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) helping ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of modern SaaS applications in a fast-paced healthcare technology environment. You will design and execute automated and manual testing strategies across web applications, APIs, and performance systems, and continuously improve testing and CI/CD quality practices.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and QA stakeholders to define comprehensive testing strategies based on product requirements.
Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases for SaaS-based web applications and APIs.
Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks using modern JavaScript-based testing tools.
Identify, document, and track defects; partner with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Build and execute automated API tests to validate functionality, reliability, and system integrations.
Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure scalability, stability, and responsiveness.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and faster release cycles.
Monitor testing quality standards and drive continuous process improvements.
Stay current with emerging testing frameworks and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in software development and quality engineering with strong test automation focus for SaaS applications.
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing tools/frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or CodeceptJS.
API testing experience with tools/frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, or Katalon.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD environments.
Strong automated testing principles, debugging, and quality processes.
Experience with performance/load/stress testing in scalable application environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Self-motivated and effective in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Nice to Have

Healthcare technology or healthcare domain experience.
