Role overview

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) / QA Engineer responsible for ensuring product quality through scalable automated testing and validation across web, mobile, backend, and data systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for:
- Web (React.js)
- Mobile (iOS/Android)
- Backend APIs
- Data systems
Write high-quality, maintainable, reusable code in Java, TypeScript, or Python
Create and execute end-to-end test suites validating integrations across microservices and data pipelines
Build API test automation using Postman, REST Assured, or custom frameworks
Perform data quality validations on ETL pipelines and cloud data lakes (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3)
Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps to integrate tests into the CI/CD pipeline
Contribute to testing strategies for Data Engineering (accuracy and correctness)
Log, track, and triage issues using Jira and TestRail
Participate in code reviews and provide input on functional and technical design
Continuously evaluate new testing tools and approaches to improve QA processes

Requirements

6+ years experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Software Engineer in test-heavy environments
Strong programming skills (noted: Java, TypeScript, JavaScript)
Detail-oriented, able to break down complex systems into testable components
Collaborative and communicative; works well with engineers, PMs, and QA peers
Curious and proactive about improving testing methods and tools

Nice-to-haves

Experience validating integrations across microservices and data pipelines
Familiarity with API testing and data quality validation for ETL/data lakes
