About the role
Role overview
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will design and implement robust automated integration tests for core business applications using SmartBear TestComplete. The goal is to improve software quality, increase test coverage, and embed automated testing into the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated integration tests using SmartBear TestComplete
- Expand automated test coverage across core applications and critical workflows
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define testing requirements
- Build reusable test scripts, frameworks, and utilities to improve efficiency
- Execute, monitor, and analyze test runs to identify defects and regressions
- Document test cases, test plans, and automation processes
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines where applicable
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in automation scripts and testing environments
- Contribute to QA best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with SmartBear TestComplete
- Experience building and maintaining automated integration tests
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices
- Experience testing desktop, web, or enterprise applications
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
Nice to haves (optional)
- Experience integrating TestComplete with CI/CD tools
- Familiarity with scripting/programming languages used in test automation
- Experience with API/service-layer testing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Language requirements
- English B2+
- Spanish C1
