Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, build, and continuously improve test automation frameworks. You will write production-quality test code and partner with development teams to embed quality engineering throughout the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, mobile, and microservices
• Write production-quality automated test code
• Implement contract testing (e.g., Pact) to validate service contracts in microservice ecosystems
• Build CI/CD test pipelines integrated with tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Azure DevOps
• Develop and maintain performance test suites using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders) to turn ambiguous requirements into engineered solutions
• Raise quality through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an SDET / test automation engineer
• Strong software engineering skills and hands-on test automation experience
• Experience across multiple testing types: unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security testing
• Ability to ship work that holds up in production
• Comfortable translating ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions
• Technical coding assessment is mandatory
