About the role
Role Overview
Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for a 100% remote (Continental US), full-time direct W2 role. You will design, build, and continuously improve automated testing frameworks, and partner with engineering teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust, scalable test automation frameworks for web, APIs, mobile, and microservices.
- Write production-quality automated tests using Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Implement contract testing (e.g., Pact) to validate service contracts in microservice ecosystems.
- Create CI/CD test pipelines integrated with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Develop performance test suites using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust (text truncated).
- Apply a testing strategy covering unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security testing in distributed systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (product, design, engineering, operations, business) to turn ambiguous requirements into solutions.
- Raise the team bar through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of more junior engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as an SDET / test automation-focused engineer.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to write production-quality test code.
- Deep understanding of testing strategy across unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security.
- Experience building automation frameworks and CI/CD-integrated test pipelines.
- Mandatory technical coding assessment.
Nice-to-haves / Additional Notes
- Hands-on experience with test frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, and Pact.
- Experience testing microservices and distributed systems.
- No new H1B sponsorship; H1B transfers for qualified candidates are welcomed.

- Salary: $100K–$150K (base salary, commensurate with experience) + benefits
