Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, build, and continuously improve test automation frameworks and embed quality engineering across the SDLC. You’ll partner with development teams to turn ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions and raise the quality bar through reviews and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, scalable test automation frameworks for web, APIs, mobile, and microservices
• Write production-quality automated test code in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
• Implement contract testing using Pact (or similar) for microservice service contracts
• Build CI/CD test pipelines integrated with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Develop performance test suites using JMeter and/or Gatling
• Perform and/or support testing strategy across unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security testing in distributed systems
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
• Improve team quality through code review, design review, and mentorship of junior engineers

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in SDET/test automation or closely related roles
• Strong software engineering practices and the ability to write production-quality automated tests
• Hands-on experience with testing strategy across multiple levels (unit/integration/e2e/performance/security)
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
