Role overview

Software Development Engineer in Test (100% Remote) reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance & Release Management. You will develop AI-enhanced automated testing frameworks for mobile and IoT platforms, integrating advanced analytics to improve coverage, reliability, and platform risk detection.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute AI-enhanced automated tests aligned to business requirements and runnable in a CI/CD pipeline.
• Build automated tests that use AI to proactively detect and resolve issues and provide metrics for platform risk and coverage.
• Reduce manual testing effort through intelligent automation.
• Produce detailed technical reports for developers and higher-level reports for business stakeholders.
• Contribute to AI-based testing frameworks that adapt to evolving technologies and business needs.
• Document strategies for integrating AI into testing.
• Partner with senior testers to design a scalable, self-adapting testing framework.
• Help develop self-healing mechanisms to minimize test disruptions.

Research & development

• Stay current with AI advancements and evaluate their impact on automated testing.
• Test and analyze new technologies; assess feasibility and integration with existing systems.
• Continuously evolve testing strategies by integrating the latest AI technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Java or Python (or equivalent).
• Experience with mobile test automation (e.g., Appium).
• Strong foundation in AI / machine learning applied to testing.
• Experience designing automated test framework architecture, especially in cloud-based and AI-driven environments.
• Advanced problem-solving and strong ability to critically evaluate tech integration.

Nice-to-haves

• In-depth knowledge of current testing practices and tooling for mobile/IoT automation (not fully shown in the excerpt).
