Software Developer Senior (Full Stack – Java / React)

Role overview

Senior Full Stack Software Developer (Java / React) for a remote-friendly role in the United States. You will design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable web applications end-to-end, supporting mission-driven operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring (Spring Framework), and React.
• Build responsive, user-friendly web interfaces with strong performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Enhance and refactor existing codebases to meet evolving functional and technical requirements.
• Work across the full SDLC: design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Create and maintain RESTful services and integrate with relational databases (e.g., Oracle).
• Troubleshoot issues across application layers to ensure stability and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of full-stack development with strong Java and web development focus.
• Strong proficiency in Java 17+ and Spring Framework, including:
  • Spring MVC
  • Spring Security
  • Spring 6
• Hands-on experience building modern web apps with React (preferred) or similar (e.g., Angular).
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with Hibernate and relational databases such as Oracle.
• Knowledge of engineering best practices, architecture principles, and coding standards.
• Experience with Maven and Git.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred

• Cloud environment experience.
• Accessibility standards (e.g., 508 compliance).
• REST API development experience.

• $123,250–$166,750 USD depending on experience and location.
