Software Developer (Full Stack)

Location: Remote (EST or CST only; start time 7am EST)
Start: ASAP
Contract: 6-month contract (to extend)
Compensation: $61–$66/hour (W2) + Health/Dental/Vision and 401(k)

Role Overview

Hands-on full stack developer building, integrating, optimizing, and supporting enterprise applications and REST APIs, with a primary focus on backend development using NestJS.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain REST APIs supporting enterprise HCM applications
Develop backend services using NestJS (60–80% of daily work)
Develop frontend features using JavaScript/TypeScript/React (20% of daily work)
Troubleshoot production issues and API failures
Perform root cause analysis and API performance optimization
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers during Agile sprint cycles
Contribute to technical design discussions and implementation planning
Write scalable, maintainable, well-documented code
Support CI/CD, testing, and deployment activities

Requirements

4–7 years of professional software development experience
Strong backend expertise with NestJS
Full stack experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
Experience building/integrating REST APIs
API performance optimization and root cause analysis
Experience with Redux
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Exposure to cloud-native development/deployment
Familiarity with AI-powered developer productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
Solid understanding of responsive and accessible UI design
Experience working in Agile / sprint-based development
Strong communication skills
Experience in large enterprise organizations, preferably HCM, healthcare, or financial services
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building on enterprise SaaS platforms
Experience with HR, Finance, CRM, or similar enterprise systems
Workday Extend Certified Developer
Prior experience supporting HCM-related applications and integrations
