Role Overview

Software Developer (Java) for an hourly remote contract position with 10–40 hours/week. You’ll design and build scalable Java applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, efficient, and maintainable Java applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements
• Perform code reviews to ensure quality and best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Contribute to system architecture and integration planning
• Document technical designs, workflows, and processes clearly
• Stay current with Java technologies, frameworks, and industry trends

Requirements

• Strong Java development experience with a solid project portfolio
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Git (version control)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools
