About the role

Role Overview

Flex-N-Gate is seeking a full-time Full-Stack Software Developer to join its in-house software team. The role primarily supports Midas, Flex-N-Gate’s internally developed Manufacturing Execution System (MES) used across manufacturing facilities for production tracking, machine activity, downtime, scrap, quality, and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack features for the Midas MES.
Build and maintain applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, Vue.js, and JavaScript.
Create and maintain REST APIs, background services, database models, reports, dashboards, and UI components.
Maintain and improve existing systems through bug fixes, performance improvements, refactoring, and enhancements.
Troubleshoot production issues across application code, databases, integrations, and plant-floor data.
Partner with production, quality, engineering, IT, and plant leadership to translate business needs into software solutions.
Develop reporting/visualization for production, downtime, scrap, quality, OEE, and resource utilization.
Improve performance, reliability, maintainability, security, and data integrity.
Participate in design discussions, code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment.
Support rollout of new Midas capabilities across multiple manufacturing facilities.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional web or application development experience.
Professional development experience with C# and .NET (or comparable server-side platform).
Experience with ASP.NET Core and MVC (or similar frameworks).
Experience with Entity Framework Core (or another ORM).
Strong SQL skills: relational design, normalization, querying, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (or MySQL / other enterprise RDBMS).
Experience with a modern frontend framework such as Vue.js (or React/Angular).
Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience designing/building/consuming SOAP and REST APIs.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills; able to resolve issues with minimal guidance.
Detail-oriented approach and commitment to reliable, maintainable software.
Post-secondary education in CS/software engineering or equivalent experience.
