About the role

Role overview

You’ll work as a Software Developer at Borrowell, designing, developing, optimizing, testing, and maintaining application code for the company’s in-house web and mobile products. You’ll have a significant impact on product success, with opportunities to build new products from scratch.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, optimize, test, and maintain application code for web and mobile products
Ensure software meets both technical and business requirements
Experiment and build new products from scratch, not just maintain legacy code

Requirements

Microsoft Azure knowledge
Experience with Next.js and/or headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful)
Experience building scalable web applications on the cloud (preferably microservices)
SQL and NoSQL database proficiency
Core stack experience in either:
- React, React Native, and TypeScript (modern JavaScript front-end), or
- Strong backend development (backend is .NET 10 on Azure)
Experience in fast-paced fintech/startup environments
Turborepo knowledge

Nice-to-haves / Personal qualities

Growth mindset and comfort experimenting and building new products
Strong interest in helping people with their finances
