About the role

Role Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Software Developer (Angular) for a Direct-Hire position with a client in Torrance, CA (remote, local preferred). This Software Developer III / senior-level role will lead front-end development using Angular (v16+), design advanced UI components, and mentor developers.

Responsibilities

Design and implement complex, scalable, responsive web applications using Angular.
Create reusable, modular UI components, patterns, and front-end architecture.
Translate UX/UI designs and business requirements into polished interfaces.
Lead front-end architecture decisions and improve UI/UX quality.
Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and back-end teams to deliver seamless integrations.
Drive best practices for performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design.
Contribute to front-end CI/CD strategies and testing automation.
Stay current with front-end trends and evaluate their application in projects.
Mentor and guide developers via code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
Strong Angular (v16+) expertise.
Deep knowledge of TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Solid experience with NgRx (state management).
Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and building SPA architectures.
Front-end testing experience with unit, integration, and E2E using Jasmine/Karma/Cypress.
Performance profiling and browser debugging experience.
Modern tooling: Webpack, npm, Angular CLI.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience spearheading projects or front-end development initiatives.
Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and CSS frameworks such as Tailwind or Material.
Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility.
Familiarity with AWS or Azure; exposure to full-stack collaboration.
