About the role
Role Overview
Software Delivery Manager for the Wide Area Monitoring System (WAMS) Services team (North America). Owns end-to-end project software delivery with an emphasis on technical execution and deployment of complex enterprise software.
Responsibilities
- Deploy enterprise software and manage software configuration and operational testing within deployment projects
- Identify and resolve software and related IT issues quickly during delivery
- Optimize the deployment process in collaboration with DevOps teams
- Manage and coordinate effective software delivery across project execution
- Act as the Technical Leader on the project and own the project’s Delivery Model
- Perform and manage deployment of interacting complex enterprise software and dependencies
- Build and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and activity tracking; provide progress updates to the Project Manager
- Coordinate with the Project Manager on:
- Scope management (change request assessment)
- Risk management
- Problem management
- Trigger and validate engineering gate reviews, including:
- Solution
- Factory Testing Readiness
- Site Acceptance Readiness
- Define and improve software delivery performance indicators
- Drive continuous improvement and change management (e.g., cost base reduction, lead time reduction, productivity/quality improvements)
- Support tendering activities (delivery model validation, estimations, scope review coordination)
- Ensure smooth transfer to Maintenance & Support via coordinated knowledge transfer
Nice to Have
- Experience with WAMS, EMS, DMS, or related products (e-terra/Power On)
Requirements
- Good knowledge of IT infrastructures (e.g., storage systems, IT networks, OS/VM environments)
- Proven end-to-end responsibility for software delivery to meet schedule, cost, and quality commitments
