Role Overview

Software Automation Tester (Remote)

You will build, expand, and maintain an automated testing framework and support integration of automated tests into GitLab CI pipelines for a mission-critical .NET application used for DNA profile matching and related investigations.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute automated tests (including test suite development and maintenance)
Expand, improve, and maintain the test automation framework
Support clients with growth of their automation framework
Integrate automated testing into GitLab pipelines (CI/CD)
Serve as a trusted technical resource for business logic and system architecture
Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps Engineers and Developers with minimal supervision
Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for automation test failures
Generate and maintain controlled test datasets and scenarios

Requirements

Secret clearance
5+ years of automation testing experience
Experience with test suite development and maintenance
Experience with automation testing tools/frameworks such as:
- Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Robot, Cucumber (or similar)
Experience with performance testing tools such as:
- JMeter, K6, LoadRunner (or similar)
Ability to write automated tests for:
- Web front ends, web services, APIs, and databases
Experience with manual testing
Experience with integration testing
Experience with cross-browser/cross-platform testing
Experience working in agile teams using SAFe, Scrum, XP, and/or Kanban
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
Ability to lead and manage a team of testers (guidance/mentorship)

Nice to Have

Experience with CI/CD
Technical leadership experience (architecture + software engineering/testing best practices)
Security testing experience (e.g., Xray, TestRail, Zephyr)
Familiarity with SPA web applications such as Angular, React, or Blazor
Experience with cloud-native web apps hosted in Azure or AWS
