About the role

Role Overview

Salesforce is hiring a Software Architect (full remote) to drive end-to-end product architecture across areas including Backend Architecture, Front-End Architecture, and AI/ML Architecture. The role blends deep technical expertise with analytical thinking and business insight to shape scalable, maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and drive end-to-end product architecture
Define architectural principles, frameworks, and standards
Lead strategic technology initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders
Work closely with Product Managers, engineers, and other architects to improve alignment and communication
Participate in an on-call rotation to resolve complex issues and keep services highly available
Contribute technical reports and performance presentations to customers and industry events
Provide (informal) mentorship to support team understanding and technical growth
Build technical performance architecture to address complex performance issues

Requirements

15+ years of software development experience
Experience across short release cycles and the full software lifecycle
Ability to develop long-term design strategies across multiple complex projects
Experience partnering with senior architecture leadership (e.g., Chief Technology Officers) to craft architectural vision and roadmap
Mastery of multiple programming languages and platforms
Experience with Agile development methodology (e.g., Scrum)
Ability to independently craft and deliver large, sophisticated projects
Related technical degree

Nice to Have

Familiarity with the Salesforce platform
Experience on products released for public consumption across multiple releases
