About the role

Role Overview

Join LanguageWire as a Software Architect (Senior). You will set the technical direction, lead architecture decisions, and partner with senior engineering leaders across teams and locations to shape the platform’s design, build, and long-term evolution. You’ll also mentor a team of 50+ engineers and help drive large, cross-functional technical initiatives.

Key Missions

Define and evolve the company’s architecture and technology vision, establishing clear architectural principles and driving adoption across teams.
Act as a key contributor on global reference architectures, guiding and mentoring engineers across multiple teams.
Influence change without formal authority, ensuring successful execution of major, transversal technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture decisions and improve platform scalability.
Produce architecture documentation and reference designs.
Re-architect existing systems successfully.
Collaborate with senior engineers and engineering leaders to guide platform evolution.
Present and communicate architecture trade-offs to both senior leadership and engineering teams.

Requirements

Demonstrated architecture design and documentation experience.
REST API experience, including documentation of REST endpoints.
Track record of re-architecting existing systems.
Experience delivering complex software systems, preferably SaaS.
Cloud-native development and microservices architecture experience.
Strong DevOps background: CI/CD, automated pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, Kubernetes.
Deep understanding of cross-functional team dynamics and “You build it, you run it”.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills; pragmatic approach with skepticism toward over-architecting.
Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking).
Proficiency in modern languages: C#, Python, and Java.
Strong presentation and data visualization skills.

Nice to Have

AI-enabled development experience.
Knowledge of cloud platforms: Azure and GCP.
Experience with the OKR (Objectives and Key Results) framework.
