Software Architect - Front End

Role overview

As Technical Architect – Front End, you will define and shape how front-end developers implement UI functionality used by tens of thousands of people daily. You will drive technical direction, define best practices, implement development patterns, and mentor/advice developers while innovating cloud software for the life sciences industry.

What you’ll do

• Architect efficient, reusable front-end systems for complex web applications
• Collaborate with the platform team to design, implement, and enhance shared components across multiple application areas
• Define a framework and approach to share code and components effectively between teams
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers
• Design and implement pattern libraries and style guides to enforce best practices and coding standards
• Lead regular code reviews to maintain code quality

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant front-end experience, including full-stack development
• Experience defining and implementing a framework that scales across multiple enterprise web applications
• Strong experience with a modern JavaScript framework plus HTML/CSS abstractions
• Strong advocate of industry best practices and sound development principles
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational skills, and critical thinking
• Must have unrestricted right to work in the United States (no sponsorship at this time)

Preferred

• Very strong knowledge of React and its ecosystem
