About the role
Role Overview
Site Reliability Engineer (E3) at Vynca to build and operate the infrastructure powering its healthcare technology platform. You’ll work across software engineering, AWS cloud infrastructure, and operations to ensure systems are reliable, scalable, secure, and performant.
What You’ll Do
- Design and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform (Terraform as source of truth)
- Operate and scale Kubernetes workloads in production
- Package and deploy applications using Helm and automation tooling
- Build and improve distributed, event-driven systems, including topics like event sourcing, partitioning, ordering, replay, and failure recovery
- Define and manage SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to balance reliability and engineering velocity
- Automate deployment, scaling, monitoring, incident response, and operational workflows
- Own observability: metrics, logs, tracing, monitoring, and alerting
- Lead incident response, run blameless postmortems, and drive corrective actions
- Partner with Product/Engineering/Data teams on capacity planning and performance optimization
- Implement security best practices aligned with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide operational support for production
Your Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5 years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar infrastructure-focused roles (preferably healthcare, SaaS, or high-growth)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Hands-on experience operating production AWS workloads
- Proven Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform (modules, state management, deployment automation)
- Experience operating production Kubernetes environments
- Hands-on experience with Helm for application deployment and management
- Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures (including event-sourcing concepts)
Nice to Have
- Experience with healthcare/SaaS compliance environments (HIPAA/SOC 2) and security practices
