Responsibilities

  • Build and improve distributed, event-driven systems (e.g., event sourcing, partitioning, ordering, replay, failure recovery)
  • Define and track SLIs/SLOs and maintain error budgets
  • Develop automation for deployment, scaling, monitoring, incident response, and operational workflows
  • Own platform observability: metrics, logs, tracing, monitoring, and alerting
  • Lead incident response, run blameless postmortems, and drive corrective actions
  • Partner with Product/Engineering/Data on capacity planning, performance optimization, and resilient design
  • Implement security best practices to support HIPAA and SOC 2 compliance
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide production operational support

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in SRE/DevOps/Platform/Cloud Infrastructure or similar roles
  • Strong hands-on experience operating production AWS workloads
  • Proven Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform (modules, state management, deployment automation)
  • Experience operating/supporting production Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience deploying/managing apps with Helm
  • Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures (including event sourcing concepts)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related CS/engineering field or equivalent professional experience

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or high-growth environments
