About the role

Role Overview

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Infrastructure Engineer for a 100% remote, US-based team. You’ll take operational ownership of a production environment and architect greenfield deployments for a rapidly scaling AI data platform, focusing on reliability and infrastructure rather than feature development.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure orchestration: Maintain, optimize, and expand core infrastructure using Terraform and operating it across high-performance Kubernetes clusters.
High-throughput scaling: Design and run environments for massive data ingestion pipelines and large-scale search database operations.
GPU application deployment: Partner with R&D to deploy, optimize, and operate GPU-based machine learning/AI applications.
System optimization & reliability: Optimize production Java deployments and Python workflows to ensure maximum uptime, high availability, and smooth scaling.
Technical leadership: Establish and codify operational best practices as a pillar of the infrastructure architecture.

Requirements

8+ years hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform (ideally 15+ years total in infrastructure/SRE).
Strong architectural depth in deployment systems, cluster orchestration, and high-availability scaling.
AWS proficiency (required); GCP exposure is a plus.
Experience deploying and scaling application workflows that interface with GPUs and high-volume data ingestion.
Familiarity with optimizing runtime environments for Java and Python.
Exceptional autonomy, problem-solving, and maturity to eventually take on formal infrastructure leadership.

Compensation & Logistics

Remote: 100% remote across the US.
Salary: $170,000–$190,000 base, plus an open equity package.
Eligibility: US Citizens and GCH only.
