About the role
Role Overview
Remote Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) focused on improving site reliability and streamlining IT infrastructure management through software engineering, automation, and code. You will help ensure production systems remain scalable and reliable so the business can deploy new applications and services without overloading infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Apply software engineering practices to IT operations to maintain a scalable, reliable production environment
- Bridge development and operations using a software engineering mindset for system administration
- Write and develop code to automate operational processes (e.g., log analysis, testing production environments)
- Respond to and mitigate issues to keep services running reliably
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in a technical/IT-related position
- Proven technical background in IT operations
- Knowledge of software development and coding languages: Python, Golang, Java, .NET, Node.js
- Proficiency in data processing
- Configuration design experience
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure and monitoring management systems
Preferred
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as ELK and Grafana
