Site Reliability Engineer (Remote)

Role: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) (Remote)

You’ll join Partnerize’s Technical Operations team to help evolve the company’s technical estate—replacing and scaling systems, building infrastructure, and ensuring the platform remains available, scalable, and secure.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed applications
• Measure and optimize system performance to anticipate customer needs
• Build software and systems for platform infrastructure and application management
• Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market
• Partner with development teams using rigorous testing and release procedures
• Support system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
• Work with development/tech teams to ensure issues/projects are properly managed
• Deliver small and large technical projects in a timely manner
• Act as an escalation point for support incidents
• Own continuous improvement across continuous delivery, continuous integration, and related practices
• Participate in an on-call rotation

Requirements / Essential Skills

• Linux systems administration and strong troubleshooting/problem-solving
• Understanding of web servers
• Basic database skills
• Ability to work independently to diagnose and resolve issues
• Experience supporting and maintaining infrastructure as part of a team
• Proactive mindset for identifying problems, improvements, and performance bottlenecks
• Ability to prioritize workload (with occasional incident response)

Nice-to-haves / Preferred Knowledge

• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis
• Scripting: Python, Bash, PHP
• Deployment/config management & infrastructure automation: Ansible, Docker, Terraform
• Familiarity with AWS and other cloud services
• Self-learning and ability to document learning over time
