About the role

Role Overview

Join Qlik as a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the security, stability, and scalability of Qlik and Talend Cloud services. You’ll tackle reliability and scale challenges as the platform expands to support millions of transactions in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain reliability and availability of Qlik cloud platforms; drive performance and scalability improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams (Architecture, Platforms, Domains) to design and build infrastructure features and optimize cloud practices.
  • Design and develop tooling such as alerts and response mechanisms to detect and mitigate reliability risks.
  • Analyze and resolve incidents/complex issues across infrastructure, systems, network, and applications.
  • Serve as a resource for other engineers, sharing expertise in cloud engineering, production operations, incident management, and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in on-call support to maintain cloud availability/performance and provide status updates.
  • Define and evangelize cloud best practices/optimizations and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, Ansible, or similar.
  • 3+ years working with production systems running on Kubernetes.
  • 3+ years cloud engineering experience, preferably AWS and Azure.
  • 3+ years operating and/or building microservices.
  • Scripting/automation proficiency (e.g., Bash, Python, Go) and strong software engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience with CI/CD, cloud and microservices autoscaling.
  • Experience with networking, security, and secret-management tools (e.g., Vault, AWS SSM).
  • Observability experience with tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry (distributed tracing), and SIEM such as Splunk.
  • Experience with Helm, including managing Helm charts and creating custom charts.

Education / Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or relevant field).
  • Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and multitask.
  • Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems.
