About the role

Role Overview

Join Qlik as a Site Reliability Engineer to help ensure the security, stability, and scalability of Qlik and Talend Cloud services. You’ll work on reliability and scale as the platform expands to support millions of transactions in the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain reliability and availability of Qlik cloud platforms and drive performance/scalability improvements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering (Architecture, Platforms, and Domains teams) to design and build new infrastructure features and improve cloud practices.
  • Design and develop tooling, alerts, and response mechanisms to detect and address reliability risks.
  • Act as a technical resource/mentor, sharing expertise in cloud engineering, production operations, incident management, and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in on-call duties to keep cloud infrastructure available and performant, providing regular project updates.
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues across infrastructure, systems, network, and applications.
  • Define and evangelize cloud optimization best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
  • 3+ years with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform, Crossplane, Ansible, or similar).
  • 3+ years running production systems on Kubernetes.
  • 3+ years cloud engineering experience, preferably AWS and Azure.
  • 3+ years operating and/or building microservices.
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Go) and software engineering concepts.
  • Experience with CI/CD and cloud/microservice autoscaling.
  • Networking/security and secret management experience (e.g., Vault, AWS SSM).
  • Observability skills with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and SIEM (e.g., Splunk).
  • Experience with Helm (managing Helm charts and creating custom charts).
  • Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and multitask; strong analytical problem-solving skills.
