About the role

Role Overview

Longbridge is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, scale, and safeguard the reliability of its next-generation financial (wealth/online brokerage) platforms. You’ll partner closely with product and engineering teams across the globe to ensure high availability, resiliency, and secure operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own system reliability: Design, implement, and operate highly available, secure distributed systems to meet uptime and performance targets.
  • Build automation at scale: Develop monitoring, alerting, and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
  • Partner globally: Work with development teams from design through deployment to ensure reliability is built in from day one.
  • Lead incident response: Run on-call processes, perform root-cause analysis, and reduce MTTR and recurring failures.
  • Future-proof the stack: Evaluate and adopt modern cloud-native technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Prometheus, AWS/GCP) to keep systems secure and scalable.
  • Stress-test and safeguard: Lead disaster recovery, chaos testing, and capacity planning for critical wealth management services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or production engineering.
  • Strong AWS background (or GCP/Azure) and experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language for automation/tooling: Python, Go, or similar.
  • Solid Linux administration skills and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven incident management and troubleshooting for distributed systems.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across remote/global teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving fintech/tech startup environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting regulated financial systems.
  • Ability to communicate in Chinese to collaborate with Asia-based colleagues.
