About the role

Role overview

You’ll join Ivanti’s Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to help run and improve the reliability and continuous operations of Ivanti Cloud services. The role blends infrastructure, networking, operating systems, automation, development, and application administration in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do

Work 4 x 10-hour days (Sunday–Wednesday, approx. 10 PM–9 AM U.S. Pacific Time)
Deploy, manage, and secure Ivanti production SaaS environments in AWS and Azure
Collaborate with geographically dispersed, cross-department teams to solve complex problems
Automate common/repetitive operational tasks
Create documentation and training materials; train other colleagues
Participate in 24x7 on-call using a follow-the-sun incident response and problem resolution model

What you will bring

US citizenship and must be located domestically in the U.S.
BSc in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent practical experience
3+ years relevant experience (or 2+ years with an achieved BSc in Computer Science/equivalent)
Strong programming skills:
- Python
- Experience with at least one: Java, Golang, C#
Scripting proficiency with Bash or PowerShell
Public cloud familiarity (AWS or Azure, AWS/Azure preferred)
Troubleshooting experience with:
- Java and .NET applications
- Network and storage infrastructure issues
OS expertise with core Linux distributions (Debian, RHEL, SUSE, Slackware)
Windows experience
Database/middleware experience with one or more: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, MongoDB, Elasticsearch (or similar)
Load balancing/web server configuration with at least one: HAProxy, Apache, Nginx, IIS (or similar)
Monitoring tools: configure at least one such as New Relic, Datadog, Splunk (or similar)
Container orchestration familiarity (AWS EKS or Azure AKS preferred)
Deployment pipeline tools: Ansible, Jenkins, and/or GitHub Actions
Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (build/develop)

Nice-to-haves (implied by requirements)

Experience with chaos engineering and advanced observability/release automation practices
